Vicar – Revd Bridget Shepherd (on the right)
Bridget has been our vicar since December 2014. She’s married to Nick, and they have two trainee teenagers. Bridget’s email address is ‘shoesnbagsaddict’ – which tells you a lot about her interests! She also enjoys gardening, and is passionate about seeing the church grow.
Curate – Revd Sarah Simpson (on the left)
Sarah Simpson joined us in July 2017 as our Curate. She is married to Chris and has three children. Sarah loves stories, be they from books, films or hearing the stories of other people. She is also a big fan of tea and wine (or champagne if you are offering!)
Church Administrator – Mandy Combes
Mandy has lived in South East London for all of her life. She’s married to Chris and they have a teenage daughter who is in her final year at school. For most of the week Mandy works for 22 Headteachers in Greenwich, organising their training, projects and meetings.
Good Shepherd Churchwarden – Conway Tearle
Conway has been a member of the congregation at the Good Shepherd since 2004. Conway has also been a scout leader for nearly fifty years and is still actively involved with his group in Royal Greenwich.
Good Shepherd Churchwarden – Joanne McCrone
Jo has 3 daughters, 1 husband and 1 cat, and she’s lived in this area for over 20 years. Jo has worked in the charitable sector for many years, managing lots of community projects. She’s very good at spotting people’s talents, and encouraging people to use them!
St. Peter’s Churchwarden – Alyson Bond
Alyson has attended St Peter’s Church for about 40 years. Her children were all confirmed at the Good Shepherd and one was married there too.
St. Peter’s Churchwarden – Angela Stebbings
Chair of the PCC – Richard Evans
Richard Evans has been a member of the church since 2008, usually attending Good Shepherd. He has been involved on the PCC for a number of years and is currently the chair. He works in Bermondsey for the Society and College of Radiographers, where he is the CEO.
This team is supported by a wider team of volunteers including the PCC (Parochial Church Council), Treasurer and Finance Team, our preachers and service leaders, Lay Readers, a Pastoral Worker, and many more!
