Meet the team

Vicar – Revd Bridget Shepherd (on the right)

Bridget has been our vicar since December 2014. She’s married to Nick, and they have two trainee teenagers. Bridget’s email address is ‘shoesnbagsaddict’ – which tells you a lot about her interests! She also enjoys gardening, and is passionate about seeing the church grow.

Curate – Revd Sarah Simpson (on the left)

Sarah Simpson joined us in July 2017 as our Curate.  She is married to Chris and has three children.  Sarah loves stories, be they from books, films or hearing the stories of other people.  She is also a big fan of tea and wine (or champagne if you are offering!)

Good Shepherd Churchwarden – Joanne McCrone

Jo has 3 daughters, 1 husband and 1 cat, and she’s lived in this area for over 20 years. Jo has worked in the charitable sector for many years, managing lots of community projects. She’s very good at spotting people’s talents, and encouraging people to use them!

St. Peter’s Churchwarden – Angela Stebbings

I first started to attend St. Peter’s nearly 30 years ago when I lived in Lee and both my children where baptised there.  I live in Eltham now with my husband and 2 adult children.   I’m a retired primary school teacher and when I get the chance, I love to work in my garden.

Church Administrator – Mandy Combes

Mandy has lived in South East London for all of her life. She’s married to Chris and they have a teenage daughter who is in her final year at school. For most of the week Mandy works for 22 Headteachers in Greenwich, organising their training, projects and meetings.

Chair of the PCC – Allison Streetly

Allison has lived in Lewisham for 20 years and been a member of the congregation for nearly 15 years; she is currently the PCC chair. She is married with two older teenage children and one re-homed terrier and enjoys being outdoors whenever she can. She currently works for Public Health England in Central London having worked in the NHS previously.

This team is supported by a wider team of volunteers including the PCC (Parochial Church Council), Treasurer and Finance Team, our preachers and service leaders, Lay Readers, a Pastoral Worker, and many more!
